Once you have defined the Work Steps for your part, you may find it necessary to deactivate some of them. The "Deactivate Work Step spreadsheet command allows you to do this with just a few clicks of the mouse.
As you can see in the illustration below, five Work Steps have been defined. Each has its own Cycle Type and Path ID. In this example, we are going to deactivate Work Steps 4 and 5.

The first order of business is to select the Work Step or Work Steps that you want to deactivate. You can select the Work Step in one of two ways: click on any cell within the Work Step's row, or select the entire row. In the illustration below, you'll notice that Step4 and Step5 have been selected. To do this, click on the gray cell in the first column that corresponds to Step4. Holding the mouse button down, drag the cursor straight down to highlight Step5.
The second order of business is to deactivate the Work Steps you've just selected. You can activate the spreadsheet menu by clicking on the yellow arrow or right-clicking on the mouse. Either way, once you have activated the menu, click on the Deactivate Work Step command.

You'll notice that the Work Step ID "Step4" is now grayed out and that Step4 and Step5 are still highlighted.

Click on the cell shown below. Now you can clearly see how deactivated Work Steps appear in the spreadsheet.
