EZCAM Help |
This command creates a new machining Work Step, based on the current machining Work Step and inserts it at the bottom of the Work Step list. It will have the same options & parameters as the current Work Step (visible & invisible). Selecting any cell within the same row marks the current Work Step. The new Work Step will be automatically named, and after inserted, will become the current Work Step.
Important
Please note that this command can only be used for Work Steps using the standard machining cycles. See the Create new Work Steps topic for more information.
Example:
As you can see in the graphic below, three Work Steps are already defined. In our example we will create a new machining Work Step with the name "Seg4".

The first step is to selecting an existing machining Work Step. In our example we shall select the machining Work Step SEG2. It is clearly best to select a Work Step that is as close as possible to the new one that you wish to create - in this way the alterations afterwards are kept to a minimum..
You can select a Work Step in two ways:
Click on any cell within the Work Step
Select a complete Work Step by clicking on the name in the first column.

Now that the desired Work Step is selected, call the spreadsheet menu by clicking on the yellow arrow at the top, left hand corner. When the menu is displayed, click on the command New Work Step. As you will see below, a new Work Step called SEG4, which is identical to SEG2, has been added to the bottom of the list

Tip
The Spreadsheet supports mathematic expressions in any of the numeric entry fields.
