Once you have defined the Work Steps for your part, you may find it necessary to reorder them. The spreadsheet allows you to do this with just a few clicks of the mouse. The reordering of Work Steps is accomplished with two spreadsheet menu commands: Cut Work Step and Paste Work Step
As you can see in the illustration below, three Work Steps have been defined. Each has its own Cycle Type and Path ID. In this example, we are going to reorder the Work Steps from 1,2,3, to 2,1,3.

The first step is to select the Work Step that you want to move. You can select the Work Step in one of two ways: click on any cell within the Work Step's row, or select the entire row. In the illustration below, you'll notice that the entire row of Step2 has been selected. To do this, click on the gray cell in the first column that corresponds to Step2.
The second step is to cut the Work Step to the clipboard. You can activate the spreadsheet menu by clicking on the yellow arrow or right-clicking on the mouse. Either way, once you have activated the menu, click on the Cut Work Step command.

You'll notice that Step2 has been cut from the spreadsheet. Now that Step2 is no longer there, Step3 has become the active Work Step. The next step is to select the position where you want the Work Step to be pasted back into the spreadsheet. Remember, the Paste Work Step command always inserts the Work Step above the active cell or row in the spreadsheet. If you were to use the Paste Work Step command at this point, Step2 would return to its original position because it would be inserted above the active row (Step3). Make Step1 the active Work Step in the spreadsheet.

O.K. things look pretty good. Step1 is the active Work Step in the spreadsheet. We now have the perfect opportunity to explain why the Paste Work Step command always inserts the Work Step above the active cell or row. If it didn't, you wouldn't be able to paste anything above the first Work Step in the spreadsheet. Activate the spreadsheet menu by clicking the yellow arrow or by right-clicking the mouse. Click on the Paste Work Step command.

And there you have it! Just remember that the reordering of Work Steps is accomplished with the Cut Work Step and Paste Work Step commands. Also, the Paste Work Step command always pastes the Work Step above the active cell or row in the spreadsheet.
