Below you find a list of some basic rules that need to be followed when creating geometry.
Geometry is always based on the currently active coordinate system. World is the standard coordinate systems that is activated by default and cannot be edited or changed. If user defined UCS systems exist, they can be selected by using the Current UCS status button.

Overview - User Coordinate Systems
Arcs and circles can only be created on the XY plane of the current coordinate system (World or user defined).
When several alternative solutions to a construction exist, moving the screen cursor will show the alternative that lies closest to the cursor position in white. When the correct solution is shown, a click with the left hand mouse button will select the currently displayed option.

When selecting two elements that do not lie on the same plane, the second element will be projected on to the plane of the first element for calculation purposes. For example, if the intersection point of two lines that lie on different planes needs to be calculated, the second line selected will be projected on to the first plane and the point will then be calculated. The intersection point itself will lie on the plane of the first line.
