Plunge Point Control for Constant-Z Cycle

The Constant Z cycle allows plunge points to be specified for Pocketing and Zigzag Operations by including a Path Curve containing a series of Rapid links defining each plunge position.  If a Path Curve boundary is also needed the plunge point rapid links must precede the closed boundary definition.  Wherever it is necessary to enter a new region the system will automatically select the closest plunge point then connect from there to the pattern start position.  This capability allows start holes to be pre-drilled in a safe location so the tool can enter into a region without plunging.

Below example shows two plunge points defined as two rapid links in the path curve (as first two links of the curve) which provides plunging near the open edges and outside the part boundary.

This example shows a path curve consist of only one rapid link point at the desired plunge location which coincides with a pre-drilled hole.
