Surface Cycle & Check Curves

You can also use the Surface cycle to machine single surfaces within a specified boundary. Although this cycle is normally used for finishing entire surfaces, you can restrict tool moves to certain areas by assigning boundary profiles as Check Curves on the 3D Cycle Data Tab. Set the Start On parameter to ON to cut outside a boundary curve, say to create an island, or to OFF to cut the interior of the boundary.
