The Rapid command is used to define a rapid movement within a curve. This is normally used to connect multiple profiles into a single curve or to define pockets with islands. The Start/End command can be used to assign a start-/ endpoint to each of the sub-profiles.
Rapid moves are also used to support multiple plunge points for pocketing/zig-zag cycle operations. Multiple points are linked via rapid curve links before the pocket profile. Whenever a plunge move is required, the closest rapid point is picked. Target loop is also resorted so that its start point is closest to the selected plunge point.
Note
When using the Chain command to connect multiple profiles, the software inserts rapid connection moves automatically.
