Import
On loading, each EZ-CAM application will
recognize the data type depending on the file extension and automatically
convert it into its internal format. And when opening CAD models the geometry
is automatically scaled based on the CAD model file units and the units
of the active EZ-CAM session. The origin and coordinate system of the
imported data will be recognized and maintained.
Export
Depending on the selected file type in the "Save as" dialog, the current EZ-CAM application will automatically convert and export the elements of the actual session.

Note
Beginning with Release14, EZ-Turn supports NURBS surface import. Once
imported, the surfaces can be used to create machinable profiles using
the XZ Intersection
command from the Curves
menu.
When opening an a file into an existing session, if the respective data
in the session has already been named and saved to disk, the existing
name will be retained and opened file name will not be used. If
the existing session data has not been saved then the respective session
data will inherit the name of the opened file.
Optional Edge Geometry Creation setting allows the automatic creation
of wireframe edge geometry from imported surfaces.
This configuration is located
in the EZCAM.INI file under the [ml3d] heading, and can be configured
as described below.
[ml3d]
noEdgeGeometry=1
Configuration Option:
0 = Create Edge Geometry
1 = Do Not Create Edge Geometry
