This command allows graphical selection of surfaces into the work step machining surface table. When the command is selected, the surfaces already selected for the current work step are highlighted and all common discrimination options (color, layer, etc.) are applicable. Already selected (highlighted) surfaces can be de-selected. New surfaces can be added by selecting them using the cursor and pressing the left mouse button. After hitting enter software reorders the selected surfaces according to minimum distance and assigns to the work step table.
To add Surfaces:
Option 1 (select surfaces individually):
Select the Select Surfaces command.
Move the cursor to the desired surfaces on the screen and click the left mouse button to select them.
Press the ENTER key to confirm the selection.
Option 2 (select multiple surfaces):
Select the Select Surfaces command.
Use the cursor to drag a frame around the desired surfaces on the screen. All surfaces that are completely encircled by this frame are selected for machining. This process can be repeated as multiple times.
Press the ENTER key to confirm surfaces selections.
Option 3 (select using the Selection List Box):
Select the Select Surfaces command.
Use the cursor to select the desired surface(s) from the Selection List Box on the right side of the screen. The selected surfaces are automatically highlighted on the screen. To select multiple surfaces from the list box press the CTRL-Key while selecting the surfaces.
Press the ENTER key to confirm selections.
To de-select Surfaces:
Option1 (de-select surfaces individually):
Select the Select Surfaces command.
Move the cursor to the highlighted surfaces on the screen and click the left mouse button to de-select the surface.
Press the ENTER key to confirm removal from work step's surface table.
De-select all surfaces using the Selection List Box:
Select the Select Surfaces command.
Use the cursor to select the first entry from the list box on the right side of the screen. As a result only this surface will still be selected. Hold the CTRL-Key and select first surface entry again to de-select this last surface. No more surfaces will be marked in the list.
Press the ENTER key to confirm removal from work step's surface table.
