Simulation / Optimization Setup

This command activates the Stock Setup dialog box. The stock information is only used by the 3D Preview command. Selecting OK will accept the parameters and display the stock as a yellow wireframe. The wireframe may be removed from the screen by selecting the Draw command.

EZ-MILL

Select the Stock Type (Block, Cylinder, Custom) and then enter the corresponding values in the input fields. Alternatively the Auto Setup button can be used to let the system calculate the stock boundaries. If there is no surface machining, the Z-Surface and Z-Depth settings of all existing Work Steps are parsed in order to determine the Z stock settings.

EZ-Turn

In EZ-Turn the system automatically calculates the stock boundaries by using the maximum values of the   Boundary settings (Cycle Data dialog) in all work steps. Alternatively you can define a custom stock by creating a stock curve using the fixed ID 'stockcrv'. See the Stock Curve section in the Boundary topic for more information.
