Fillet - Intersection

image\icon146.gif

The Fillet–Intersection command creates a three dimensional fillet surface between the machining sides of two existing surfaces. It is also possible to use the same functionality to calculate the intersection curve between two surfaces by setting the fillet radius parameters to 0.

Important

The two surfaces must intersect. The radius of the fillet may be variable and can be set at any construction point along its length. See the interactive graphic below for more information about the parameters used to construct the fillet.

Steps to create a fillet surface

  1. Select the Fillet-Intersection command from the Surfaces menu

  2. Specify parameters and settings on the Fillet Surface dialog and press OK button to start calculation of fillet arcs.

  3. Use the cursor to select the primary fillet surface from the screen

  4. Use the cursor to select the target fillet surface from the screen

  5. Select the first Arc center at the "Pick first Arc" prompt and press the <ENTER> key.
