New UCS

The New UCS command creates a new UCS (User Coordinate System) at any desired position and direction. After choosing the command a dialog is opened where you must input the name of the new UCS by using up to 64 alpha-numeric characters. A default name is offered which you can accept by clicking on the OK button.

After this the software switches automatically to the mode UCS, Three points. You will now be expected to define three points (via the input field or on the screen via the cursor). The first point defines the origin (zero position), the second point the orientation of the X-axis and the third point the direction of the Y axis. The new UCS is drawn in white. Like other screen elements, you can move, rotate and re-name a UCS.
