This command is used to reset the position and direction of World Coordinate System (WCS) or the currently activated User Coordinate System (USC) using existing geometrical elements. Ensure that you selected the correct UCS using the UCS - Selection Button before applying this command.
Procedure:
If you want to create/define a new UCS, select the New UCS command from the View Menu. Otherwise use the UCS - Selection Button status button to select an existing one from the screen or selection list box.
Select the World/UCS on Geometry command.
Pick the desired geometry entity on the screen to define the new orientation and center.
Set on Circle
After the command is activated, move the cursor near to the circle center point. The position of the UCS will snap to this position. The direction of the X-positive axis is set at 0 degrees.
Set on Arc
After the command is activated, move the cursor near to the arc center point. The position of the UCS will snap to this position. The direction of the X-positive axis is set to the start position of the arc.
Set on two Lines
After the command is activated, move the cursor near to the first line. When the UCS snaps on to the line click with the left hand mouser button. Now move the cursor near to the second line, the UCS will snap to the intersection position. The X-positive axis direction will be set to that of the first line.
