Zig-Zag Cycle (MILL)

This cycle is used to machine an area within a closed boundary (specified in the Path ID list box), using a tool motion that crosses back and forth or zig-zag's from one side of the boundary curve to the other. This cycle can be used to cut complex pocket areas, and to cut pockets with up to 100 "islands". An island is an area within the pocket boundary that is not to be machined. A finish pass option may be turned on to clean up material around the boundary and islands which is left by the zig-zag cutting pattern. Depth is controlled by the Z Depth parameter.

The parameters for this cycle are located in the Tool Info Tab and the Cycle Data Tab. More detailed information is available under each parameter’s help topic.
