Check Curves Display Area

This portion of the dialog box displays the curves that have been selected as Check Curves for the current Work Step. Check Curves are used to constrain the surface machining area (for Surface Cycle) by causing the tool to rapid when it contacts a check curve, and to feed back down and continue machining when contacting it again along the same tool pass. In this way you can machine pockets with islands or bosses with pockets depending on the Start On setting. See Start On for a detailed explanation and graphics.
