EZCAM Help |
This feature is used to determine on which side of the Check Curves to begin machining. If the box is checked, the system begins machining at the first point which is defined as P[0,0] and continues until the tool is tangent to the outside of the outermost profile. A rapid move brings the tool to the rapid plane at the tangency points. If there are profiles nested inside of the outermost check curve, then the tool moves down to their inner tangency points and machines within that boundary for the current tool pass. If the Start On box is not checked, machining begins when the system finds the first curve.
Note
This setting has no effect on Check Surfaces.

Here's an example of surface areas that will be machined if you select the Start On feature. The first surface point is P[0,0].

Start On = ON |

If you do not select this feature, the entire machining sequence is reversed.

Start On = OFF |

Here's an example of the boundary specification using Check Curves. Closed curves may be nested (inside of each other), but contradictory situations such as the intersection of two curves must be avoided.
