Step Over (3D)

When you select the Surface cycle, the Distance and Scallop Height features become active. The value entered into either field determines the maximum distance between adjacent tool passes on the surface (step over). When one value is changed, the other is updated to reflect the same step over distance.

Distance

This parameter allows you to directly input the step over distance.

Scallop Height

This parameter allows you to enter the maximum scallop height and calculates the corresponding step over value for you.
