2D Gouge Check

Cycle: Contouring, Pocketing, Zig-Zag

This option enables/disables a two-dimensional gouge checking routine which will prevent the tool from entering any area of the contour curve which is smaller than the entered tool diameter. In order for the Multi Regions feature to work correctly, the 2D Gouge Check should be checked. Also, this gouge checking function may not work correctly if the Auto Rounding parameter is turned Off.

Important

This gouge checking feature does not check for gouging a surface if the contour path is projected onto a machining surface. Surface gouge checking is performed by the Gouge Checking feature in the 3D Cycle Data Tab.
