Cycle: Contouring, Pocketing, Zig-Zag, Drilling Cycles
The Macro setting controls whether or not Post generates G-Code macros to perform repeated moves within a Work Step. When the Macro option is activated, the system generates a macro(s) according to the format that is specified in the selected postprocessor. When post processing for machines that do not support macro output, EZCAM automatically outputs the code in longhand form.
Important
In combination with drilling cycles it is important to note that all Work Steps that machine the same path curve will also share the same macro ID in case their macro option is activated. Of course, if the Reverse option is used, independent macros will be created. Postprocessors created for EZ-MILL v13 and earlier do not support drilling macros. Please contact your local dealer or the EZCAM Support to get your post updated.
Repeated moves for tool paths generated with surfaces and 3D profiles are not supported.
Rapid moves within a Work Step are not included in macros, and any time a rapid move is made the current macro is ended.
It is not difficult to exceed a control’s maximum number of macros if a Work Step path is repeated several times.
