Type (Milling)

The Flat, Ball and Bull types are used by the system to calculate the tool path when machining tapered sidewalls based on 2D profiles or surfaces.

Below you can see the various combinations of the settings for milling tools.

Flat	Bull	Ball

Flat & Taper Angle	Bull & Taper Angle	Corner Round
		D = Diameter (bottom) L = Length R = Corner Radius A = Taper Angle

Important

Please note that tapered tools are only simulated when using the 3D Preview command.
