Path Curve ID

This list box is used to select the curve that is machined in the current Work Step. If no curve exists the field is disabled, otherwise "None" is displayed in case no curve is selected.

Tip

A quick way to change the path curve of the current Work Step without opening the machining dialogs is to use the Path - Selection Button located at the bottom of the EZCAM window.

Surface Machining with Pocketing & Zig-Zag Cycles (Path Curve ID = None)

When using the Zig-Zag or Pocketing cycle to machine surfaces, setting the "Path Curve ID" to "None" tells the system to internally create a boundary profile that includes all visible surfaces. In addition, this boundary is offset to the outside by the current toolradius to ensure complete machining of entire surface area. This feature is particularly useful since it eliminates the work of defining a boundary curve when you simply want to cut the entire set of selected surfaces.
