Overview of Surfaces

Surface geometry is created from two and three-dimensional curves that are created by chaining or linking together geometry elements. Creation of a surface can be as simple as selecting a standard surface type (plane, cylinder, sphere, cone) from the Surfaces menu. On the other hand, it can be as complex as defining many curves in both the longitudinal and transverse directions. No matter what type of surfaces you create, EZ-MILL provides you with powerful editing features. This flexibility allows you to design a surface that meets your exact specifications.

Note

The Surface menu commands are only available to owners of EZ-MILL (Level 2) and EZ-MILL Pro (Level 3) software. If you do not have either Level 2 or Level 3, you may restart EZ-MILL in the demo mode in Level 2 or Level 3, but you will not be able to save your work.
